As you can see from the heading we have decided to make this newsletter a bi-monthly publication from now on, although we welcome any feedback as to what you think of this idea.
There is a lot happening down here at The Redoubt over the next couple of months and there is sure to be something for everybody. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for details of the events as they get closer,

OPENING HOURS IN MARCH AND APRIL:
We have a few half days and closed days coming up over the next couple of months, so be sure to check the "What's On" section at the end of this newsletter for details.
One of the biggest events of the year is our Staff function and The Redoubt will be closed on Wednesday 7th March while the whole team takes off for a day of R&R in the big city. Watch this space for photos next newsletter!

KITCHEN'S CORNER.
This month's offering from the kitchen is:

Pear & Apple Frozen Cocktail.
Ingredients
1 cup sugar Malibu
? cup lemonade 120 ml Apple Sourz
? cup pineapple 120ml Pear Absolut Vodka
Preparation
Bring lemonade, sugar, Apple Sourz and Pear Absolut to boil, Remove from heat and chill.
Churn in an Ice-cream machine (or beat well, freeze for 30 mins, then beat well again) and put in freezer until frozen.
Serve scoops in a tall glass. Pour over 15ml Malibu and 30ml lemonade. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.


SPOOFING CHAMPIONSHIP - Wed 18th April.
Gentlemen, mark the 18th April in your diaries and prepare for a great night of camaraderie and hilarity.
Don't be fooled that this is just an excuse for a booze up - this is a game of skill, where drinking is optional and a good night is guaranteed.
$55 secures your seat, nibbles and dinner and a chance to be Te Awamutu's first Spoofing Champion!

BANDS - March & April.
March sees the return of our old favourites Pulse, Sparx, Budokan and Aquarius as well as new bands Flat Water Syndicate (FWS) and 3rd Degree who have played here once before.
April has ex TA local Jason Skelton and his Hasslehoff Bros playing with FWS and new band 3 Blind Mice.
Definitely something for everyone.

STAFF NEWS.
As you may of noticed we have a few new staff here. Welcome to Alex, Ryan and Chris in the bar and Connor in the kitchen.
Guess who turns 21 this month? Our very own bar person Mel. I'm sure you are all familiar with Mel from serving you in the bar. So if you see Mel on the 20th - don't forget to give her a birthday hug!
